Cajuns Name Yantko Newest Administrator

His name doesn't end with "eaux" so some South Louisianians may not say it right the first time.

But, the T is silent.  Nick-o  Yank-o

The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns announced yesterday the hiring of Nico Yantko to be the new Deputy Athletic Director for External Operations.

Louisiana Athletic Director Dr. Bryan Maggard knows Yantko well, having worked with him for six years at the University of Missouri.

Most of Yantko's expertise has been in fund raising as he has most recently been Mizzou's Associate Athletic Director for Development.  But his expertise isn't limited to that.

He helped coordinate the Mizzou Athletics Statewide Outreach program, which visited all 114 Missouri counties and strengthened relationships with Mizzou constituents. And during the school's transition from the Big 12 to the SEC, Yantko also assisted in the creation of consistent external messaging.

At Louisiana, that's a big deal.
