Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun men’s basketball team returns to the hardwood on Tuesday evening, when coach Bob Marlin’s squad plays host to the ULM Warhawks in a Sun Belt Conference match-up.

The game will be the backend of a women’s/men’s doubleheader, with the UL women taking on ULM earlier in the day.

The match-up will also mark the final game of a five-game homestand for Louisiana, winners of six straight.

Tipoff time for the men’s game is set for approximately 7:15 pm at the Cajundome.

The Cajuns will be going after the two-game regular season split between the two squads, after falling to the Warhawks, 81-70, back on December 3 in Monroe, La.

Louisiana, who defeated UT-Arlington, 90-75, on Saturday night, is 11-8, overall, and 7-3 in league play, while ULM, who beat Texas St. on Saturday, 72-59, is currently 10-11, and 6-4, respectively.

The Cajuns are outscoring the opposition, 82.3/73.8, and outshooting them from the floor, 46%/43%, while also holding down a 41.5/33.4 rebound advantage.

Louisiana is led by senior forward Shawn Long, who is averaging 18.9 points, to go along with 12.8 rebounds-per-game, and senior guard Kasey Shepherd, who is averaging 11.5 points and 1.9 rebounds a contest.

ULM is outscoring the opposition, 72.2/69.6, while outshooting opponents from the floor, 46%/41%, and holding down a 37.6/33.9 rebounding advantage.

The Warhawks are paced by senior forward Majok Deng, who is scoring 19.6 points, while pulling down 7.2 rebounds-per-game.
