Cajuns’ Long Wins LSWA Men’s Basketball Award

The honors keep coming in for Louisiana Ragin' Cajun Shawn Long.

The 6-9 sophomore from Morgan City has already won the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week award twice, the Most Outstanding Player Award at the EA Sports Maui on the Mainland Tournament and now can add another, this time from the Louisiana Sportswriters' Association.

Long has been named the LSWA Player of the Week for his play during the month of November.

Long, who has averaged a double double so far this season, has sparked the Cajuns to a 5-2 start, their best under coach Bob Marlin.

Louisiana travels up highway 167 Wednesday night to face Louisiana Tech.
