Ragin’ Cajun Joe Dillon Named A Freshmen All American

Louisiana Ragin' Cajun defensive lineman Joe Dillon was named to the USA TODAY Freshmen All-American team.

The redshirt freshmen from Tylertown, Mississippi led the team in sacks with 6 and tackles for loss with 11.5, ending the regular season with 49 total tackles, most among Cajun defensive linemen.

Dillon was named second team All-Sun Belt last week.

Dillon is the second freshmen All-American under coach Mark Hudspeth. Elijah McGuire, now a senior, was an FWAA All-American in 2013.

Louisiana (6-6) has one game left on the season this Saturday when they battle Southern Miss (6-6) in the R&L Carrier's New Orleans Bowl. Kickoff on Saturday is ste for 8:00pm.
