Friday night the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns had to come from behind in their game against Princeton in a tight 5-3 win.

Sunday against Arizona, Louisiana scored early...and often.

The #1 seeded Cajuns scored in five of the first six innings and never trailed in taking a 10-3 win over  #2 seed Arizona 10-3 Sunday afternoon at M. L. "Tigue" Moore Field.

The win was the 12th straight for the Cajuns (43-19) and propelled them to the championship round Monday at 1pm.  Arizona (39-21) will take on Sam Houston State Sunday night in an elimination game at 7:00, with the winner having to beat the Cajuns twice Monday in order to deny the Vermilion and White a third straight regional title.

Stefan Trosclair, Kyle Clement and Brad Antchak each had a pair of hits for the Cajuns, with Trosclair driving in three runs and Brenn Conrad and Brian Mills notching a pair of RBI.  Eight of the nine starters for the Cajuns had at least one hit.

Gunner Leger (7-3) worked the first five innings, allowing five hits and three runs in getting the win.  Leger walked three and struck out four, throwing 98 pitches.  Jevin Huval allowed two hits in four innings of shutout ball.  He struck out six and walked three and was credited with his third save of the season.

The Cajuns jumped on Arizona starter J. C. Cloney (6-4) for three runs in the first inning.  Joe Robbins drew a one out walk and went to second on Clement's bunt single.  Trosclair then singled to right center for the first run of the game, sending Clement to third.  Brenn Conrad then laid down a squeeze bunt and reached when the throw to get Clement was late.  Alex Pinero's sacrifice fly scored the third run of the inning.

Trosclair belted his seventh homer of the season in the third to extend the lead to 4-0 and after Arizona got a run in the fourth on J. J. Matejevic's double down the left field line in the fourth, the Cajuns struck for three more.

Antchak singled with one out and Brian Mills singled him to third.  Joe Robbins then delivered a base hit to make the score 5-1.  Kyle Clement's force play drove in Mills and after Trosclair was hit by a pitch, Conrad delivered an RBI single to cap the three run inning.

Cody Ramer hit a two run homer to right off Leger on a 3-2 pitch in the fifth to cut the Cajuns lead to 7-3.  Zach Gibbons walked and Bobby Dalbec singled with two outs, but Leger got Matejevic on a grounder to third to prevent further damage.

The Cajuns got those two runs right back in the bottom of the inning when Alex Pinero singled and Nick Thurman sacrificed.  Antchak had a bunt single and stole second and Mills brought both runners home with a double squeeze to increase the lead to 9-3.  Clement's sixth inning triple and Trosclair's sacrifice fly completed the scoring in the sixth inning.

Huval issued a walk in each of his first three innings, but notched four strikeouts during that time to prevent any damage.  He fanned two more in the ninth, giving up a pair of hits before a fly ball to left ended things.

The Cajuns have now won nine straight regional games dating back to 2014.  Monday's game will be heard on ESPN1420 with pre-game beginning at 12:30pm.
