Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun men’s basketball team is back in action on Monday evening, when coach Bob Marlin’s squad plays host to the ULM Warhawks at the Cajundome in a key Sun Belt Conference tilt.

Tip-off time is scheduled for approximately 7:15 pm, and you can hear all the play-by-play action on ESPN 1420 and espn1420.com, along with Hot 107.9 and 1079ishot.com, beginning with the pregame show at 6:45 pm.

The game will mark the back-end of a day/night women’s/men’s doubleheader, with the UL women taking on ULM at 5 o’clock.

Louisiana, who is coming off of an 89-82 home loss to South Alabama on Saturday night, their first home defeat of the year, is 10-7 on the season, and 4-2 in league play, while ULM, who won their third-straight on Saturday night, defeating UALR, 64-52, is currently 11-6, overall, and atop the Sun Belt Conference standings with a 5-1 league mark.

The Cajuns are outscoring the opposition, 81.8/72.4, while out-shooting foes from the floor, 48.2%/42.6%, and holding down a 40.4/34.4 rebounding edge.

UL is paced by junior forward Shawn Long, who leads the team in both scoring and rebounding, at 16.0 ppg, and 9.8 rpg, respectively, and senior forward Brian Williams, who is averaging 12.5 points, to go along with 4.1 rebounds a contest.

Louisiana, who is 7-1 at home this season, including a 2-1 conference home mark, is right in the middle of a three-game homestand.

The Warhawks are out-scoring the opposition, 66.6/60.7, and out-shooting foes from the field, 44.4%/37.3%, while holding down a 37.4/34.6 rebounding advantage.

ULM is paced by senior forward Tylor Angwae, who is averaging 13.9 points and 6.6 rebounds-per-game, along with junior forward Majok Deng, who is averaging 9.1 points, along with 7.3 rebounds a contest.

Louisiana leads all-time series, 49-20, with the two schools splitting the two meetings last year.
