Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun basketball team returns to the hardwood on Saturday night, when coach Bob Marlin's squad plays host to the FIU Panthers in a Sun Belt Conference affair.

UL fell to the South Alabama Jaguars, 70-65, on Thursday night, to drop to 8-10 overall, and 2-2 in Sun Belt Conference play.

FIU fell to Middle Tennessee on Thursday night, 70-59, to drop to 4-12 overall, and 1-3 in league play.

The Panthers have lost 6 of their last seven games.

FIU is led by senior guard DeJuan Wright, who is averaging 15.9 points-per-game, while  Louisiana is paced by sophomore forward J.J. Thomas, is averaging 10.9 points a contest.

The game marks the nightcap of a day/night, women's/men's doubleheader.
