Finally, a Louisiana Saturday Night.

For the first time, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns basketball team will host a Saturday game as they take on the New Orleans Privateers at the Cajundome.  Tipoff is scheduled for 7:05pm.

Louisiana (8-2) is coming off its best road win of the season, a 75-71 victory over Louisiana Tech in Ruston.  It was the Cajuns' fifth straight win, with the last four coming over Louisiana schools.

UNO (2-6) has played a rugged non-conference schedule, with losses to Memphis, SMU, Houston and St. Johns, among others.  UNO is 0-6 on the road this year.

The Cajuns are 24-5 in their last 29 meetings with the Privateers and have own four straight, including a 78-71 meeting at the UNO Lakefront Arena last season.

Travin Thibodeaux (14.3) and Troy Green (9.1) are the leading scorers for UNO.  This game will mark the debut of former Cajun Scott Plaisance, who transferred at mid-term last season.

This game could be a battle of tempo as UNO averages just 65 points per game, while the Cajuns score at an 89 ppg clip.   The Cajuns boast four double digit scorers with Ja'Keenan Gant leading the way (16.9).  Frank Bartley IV (15.3), Johnathan Stove (13.0) and Bryce Washington (10.0) also are in double figures.  Washington (10.5) is the leading rebounder.

This is the first of two consecutive home games for the Cajuns, who host Southeastern La. Tuesday night.
