The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns football program has had a better than expected season in head coach Billy Napier's first year running the team. The team won the Western Division of the Sun Belt Conference and is getting prepared to take on the Tulane Green Wave in the fourth annual AutoNation Cure bowl this Saturday, December 15th.

One of the coolest moments in college sports is when a player who maybe isn't the most physically gifted or who maybe isn't highly recruited to a specific school but works his or her butt off dreaming of receiving a scholarship finally gets rewarded with one.

For one Ragin' Cajun sophomore linebacker that dream just became a reality....

This is what college athletics is really all about, the love of the game and for Tanner Wiggins his efforts are being rewarded.

As you can hear in the video via the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Twitter account on Monday, Tanner's parents made mention of the fact that he had full ride scholarship offers from other schools but always dreamed of wearing the Vermilion and White.

Therefore, he chose to walk-on at UL, he red-shirted in 2016, played in just four games in 2017, and this season he has played in eight games as he continues to work hard and improve hoping for more opportunities next season.

Congratulations Tanner!
