The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns opened up a double digit lead in the first half, but a Cuban comeback thwarted the Cajuns in their opener in Cuba, falling to the National Team 76-71.

Jonathan Stove led the way for the Cajuns with 17 points.  Frank Bartley added 14 points and Jerekius Davis added ten.  Javier Justiz had 18 of his game-high 23 points in the second half.

The Cajuns led 39-27 at halftime before Cuba went on a third quarter run and tied the game at 54 after three quarters.  The Nationals led by as many as eight down the stretch before the Cajuns hit a couple of triples to cut into the lead.  Cuba was able to hold on in the final minute.

The Cajuns are back in action at 9:00 am Wednesday.
