Cajuns Fall To Broncos, 63-57

Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun men's basketball team suffered a non-conference loss on Sunday, falling to the Boise St. Broncos, 63-57, in Boise, Idaho.
Louisiana tailed early, 20-6, before going on a 19-0 run, to take a 25-20 lead.
The Cajuns went on to lead at halftime, 28-26, and later led 52-50, at the 7:50 mark of the game, but UL missed 11 consecutive shots, and the Broncos went on a 9-0 run, taking a 59-52 lead, and then hung on for the six-point victory.
Boise St. was able to out-shoot Louisiana from the field, 39%-37%, and also finished with a 41-29 rebound advantage.
Leading the way for the Broncos was Derrick Mark, who scored 14 points, with Mikey Thompson adding 13, while the Cajuns were led in a losing cause by Elfrid Payton and Alan Michael-Thompson, who each finished with 12 points.
With the win, Boise St. improved to 3-0 on the year, while Louisiana fell to 1-2.
The Cajuns return to action on Wednesday evening, when they host Southern-New Orleans, in non-conference play at the Cajundome.
