Cajuns Fall to Arkansas State, 14-2
The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns fell in their second game of their three game series against Arkansas State, falling to the Red Wolves 14-2 Saturday night at Tomlinson Stadium in Jonesboro, AR, Friday night.
Nate Alberius (4-1) pitched the complete game win for the Red Wolves (11-12, 3-5 Sun Belt), allowing seven hits and two earned runs. He did not walk a batter and struck out seven.
Nick Lee (1-3) took the loss, giving up ten hits and eight runs, six earned, over six innings. He walked three and struck out three.
Arkansas State broke the game open in the fourth inning, tallying four runs to take a 5-1 lead and put the game away scoring three times in the middle innings to take an 8-2 lead after six.
Kyle MacDonald and Tobias Johnson each drove in three runs for Arkansas State. \Daniel Lahare and Hayden Cantrelle each had two hits for Louisiana.
The two teams will play their final game of their three game series Sunday at 1pm.
