The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns played game two of the day against the host team of the Baylor Invitational, the #21 ranked Baylor Bears on Friday night.

Summer Ellyson made the start for Louisiana and was opposed by Madison Lindsey for Baylor.

The Cajuns would get on the board first in this one as they broke the ice in the second inning with Raina O'Neal got things going with a single, Lexie Comeaux walked and then Casidy Chaumont roped a double down the right-field line. That gave UL a 1-0 lead.

Louisiana would strike again in the fourth when Chaumont doubled again to begin the inning, Keeli Milligan singled and stole second and Sarah Hudek drove the run in with a sac fly. From there it was another Milligan run as Keeli swiped third and scored when the Bears catcher threw the ball away. 3-0 Cajuns.

However, the Bears wouldn't go quietly as they snatched some momentum back in the bottom of the fourth when they snuck two runs back to make it a 3-2 ballgame.

Two innings later with UL looking for to add some insurance, they would pick up a huge two-out, two RBI base hit from one of their leaders in Alissa Dalton. They led 5-2.

Summer Ellyson would shut down Baylor the rest of the way for the 5-2 victory. With the effort, she picked up her ninth win of the season (9-0). She allowed just four hits, two runs, struck out ten and didn't walk a batter.

The hitting stars were Casidy Chaumont who went 3-4 with two doubles, scored two runs, and knocked in one. Also, Alissa Dalton who had the big two-out two-RBI hit in the sixth.

With the win, the Cajuns remain unbeaten on the season at 13-0. Next up, they'll face North Texas at 10 am Saturday morning.
