Injuries and three-pointers were the difference in this game as the Lousiana Ragin' Cajuns fell in Fort Worth, Texas Tuesday night against the TCU Horned Frogs 98-65.

The big injury in this one was one of Louisiana's leaders in Cedric Russell who sustained a strained groin at the end of the first half after scoring 18 points in that first half.

Kobe Julien also sustained an eye contusion in this one, he was able to continue after having his eye examined but the eye was swollen and that limited his effectiveness.

For the Horned Frogs, they utilized the three-point shot to propel them, they nailed 12 of them in the first half to take a 52-38 lead at the half and went 18-38 the rest of the way.

The Cajuns also got beat on the boards 42-31 which hurt as TCU recorded 14 offensive rebounds and shot the ball at a high percentage. They shot it at a 52% clip (35-68).

Without Russell in this one UL just couldn't match the hot shooting of TCU. Jalen Johnson led the way with 21 points and shot 4-6 from distance as Russell was 4-4.

Mylik Wilson also contributed with 16 points and six rebounds to lead the team in this one.

The Horned Frogs were paced by Desmond Bane with 25 points, seven rebounds in 37 minutes. In addition, Kevin Samuel added a double-double with 12 points, 12 rebounds and six blocks.

With the loss, the Cajuns fall to 2-1 overall and will return home Friday to face Youngstown State at 7 p.m.
