In their last home game, Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns used an 18-0 run to break open the game en route to a 105-74 win over North Texas.

Sunday night, the run was even more impressive.

Leading just 54-50, the Cajuns put together a masterful 24-0 run over a six minute period in the second half and cruised to a 90-66 win over Louisiana-Monroe before 2131 fans.

The Cajuns (9-16, 5-9 Sun Belt) had six players post double figure scoring, led by junior Bryant Mbamalu with 24 points, 13 in the second half.  Elfrid Payton added 15 points, while Alan-Michael Thompson scored 12, Elridge Moore and Shawn Long eleven apiece and Steven Wronkoski ten.

ULM (3-17, 2-12) was led by Trent Mackey, who pumped in six three point field goals and scored 20 points.  Amos Olatayo, the Warhawks' leading scorer, added 15.

The Cajuns outrebounded ULM 34-25 in the game and had only eight turnovers to 14 for the Warhawks.

The Cajuns never trailed in the game and took an early ten point lead, 19-9 with 1:06 to go in the first half.  But ULM closed to 21-19, fueled by a pair of three point baskets. The Cajuns extended the lead back to eight before Jayon James' jumper with :39 left until intermission made the score 37-31.

ULM kept it close early in the second half, cutting the lead to 45-42 on a layup by Olatayo, but the Warhawks would get no closer.  After Mackey hit a three point shot to close within 54-50, the Cajuns took over.

A putback by Long started the run, which was aided by three triples from Thompson and seven points from Moore. The run started with 12:49 remaining and lasted until Trey Lindsey's layup with 6:48 remaining.

Long led the Cajuns in rebounding with eleven, notching his Sun Belt best 15th double-double of the season.  Payton led the Cajuns in assists with seven and steals with four.  He leads the league in both categories.  The Cajuns only turned the ball over twice in the final 20 minutes.

The Cajuns are back on the road Thursday night in Mobile against South Alabama.
