Cajun Student-Athletes Getting it Done in Classroom

The academic numbers for student-athletes at the University of Louisiana have been released for the Spring, 2011 semester.

And it's the best news, ever.

The GPA for student-athletes at UL was 2.880.  That's the best GPA for one semester ever recorded since the opening of the Student-Athlete Academic Center nearly 30 years ago.  And, that GPA is better than the general student population.  It's also the first time that the GPA has been 2.80 or higher for two consecutive semesters.

The report also says nearly 48 percent of the student-athletes had a 3.0 or better.
