The eight ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajun softball team left Troy a little ahead of schedule today after crushing the Trojans 9-1 in 5 innings.

Jordan Wallace (pictured left) earned the win, improving her record to 16-0.

Christi Orgeron blasted her team-leading 12th homerun of the season.

Nerissa Myers nailed a homer as well, her 7th of the year. Sarah Draheim and Katie Smith earned two hits, while Brianna Cherry knocked in 2 RBIs.

The victory improves Louisiana's record to 30-1 on the season, and 5-1 in Sun Belt Conference play.

The Cajuns will now get a much deserved rest. They'll take 10 days off from the playing field before traveling to Lake Charles on April 4th for a matchup with McNeese State.
