The Denver Broncos like what they see in second year pro Ronnie Hillman and rookie Montee Ball.  A lot.

Enough to release their leading rusher the last two seasons.

The Broncos have released Willis McGahee, opening the door for Hillman (San Diego State) and Ball (Wisconsin).

McGahee tore a ligament in his knee last season and missed the last two months.  He was scheduled to make $2.5 million this season.  McGahee pronounced himself 100 percent with no restrictions on running.

McGahee says he still wants to play in the NFL.  He also said Denver did not offer to sign him at a reduced price.
