Brodhead Will Not Coach vs. SLU Tonight

The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns meet Southeastern La. tonight the the Cajundome.

But Coach Garry Brodhead won't be on the sideline.

The University announced today Brodhead will be "withheld from coaching" in the game as a result of his actions at the Southern Miss game.

Interim Athletic Director Dr. Jessica Leger, who couples as the University's Senior Women's Administrator issued a statement Monday.

“We have high expectations for our coaches, staff, and student-athletes, particularly when dealing with sporting behavior.  There are times when we may fall short of our standards; however, these times provide us opportunities to grow. Coach Brodhead and I have agreed that he will be withheld from coaching his team on Monday, December 19 for the women’s basketball game against Southeastern Louisiana University. This decision was made based upon unsportsmanlike behavior that occurred at the game against Southern Mississippi.”

The Cajuns are 4-3 on the season.  Tonight's game will be heard on 960 AM KROF beginning at 5:45pm.
