Broadhead Era Begins Friday Night at Southern

Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball team plays its first game under new coach Garry Broadhead Friday night when they travel to Baton Rouge to take on Southern University.

Gametime at the F. G. Clark Activity Center is 6pm.

The Cajuns (7-23, 1-15 Sun Belt in 2011-12) will take the court with a very young roster, featuring just one senior and one junior.  The Cajuns hammered Centenary 108-38 in their exhibition game at Earl K. Long Gym.

Southern was 13-13 last season.  They opened their season with a 75-43 win over Dillard last Sunday.

The last meeting between the two schools was December 3 of last year, won by the Cajuns 60-49.  Louisiana leads the all time series 6-5.

The Cajuns open their home season Monday night against LSU-Shreveport.
