Joe Frazier, thought of as one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time, has died.

Frazier died last night at the age of 67 of liver cancer.

Frazier and Muhammad Ali staged three of the greatest heavyweight fights ever.  Frazier won the first, in Madison Square Garden.  Ali won the next two, including the "Thrilla in Manilla," thought by many to be the greatest heavyweight bout ever.

The quiet Frazier seemed to always be in the shadow of the flamboyant Ali and resented the boxing legend.  But in his later years he said he forgave Ali for the comments Ali made about him, including calling him an "Uncle Tom."
