Bobby Petrino has been fired as head football coach of the University of Arkansas. Last week, Petrino was in a motorcycle accident and didn't tell his boss right away that a 25-year-old female football program employee was riding with him. In the aftermath of the incident, Petrino was put on paid administrative leave.

Petrino, who is married with four children, admitted to an inappropriate relationship with the female named Jessica Dorrell. Dorrell, a former Razorback volleyball player, was hired to her position in the Arkansas athletic department by Petrino.

Assistant head coach Taver Johnson will continue to serve as interim head coach, a position he's filled in the last week while Petrino was on leave.

Arkansas finished the 2011 season ranked #5 in the nation with an 11-2 record.
