The New Orleans Hornets began a 4 game road trip with a loss in Portland Monday night to the Trail Blazers. A measly 10 point 3rd quarter doomed the Hornets on their way to an 86-74 loss.

New Orleans, owners of the Western Conference's worst record at 9-29, continue to have anemic offensive play for long stretches during the course of a game. The Hornets began the second half within striking distance before going ice cold from the field. Their 10 point 3rd quarter was their lowest for a quarter this season.

New Orleans Center Chris Kaman did finish with a double-double, his fifth in six games. Marco Belinelli (pictured above) led the Hornets in scoring with 18.

Next up, a Wednesday night match up in Sacramento versus the Kings. Tip-off from Power Balance Pavilion is set for 9:00.
