Billy Napier Visits UL Commit Emani Bailey
Louisiana Ragin' Cajun head football coach Billy Napier paid a visit to the home of a commitment recently, with the early National Signing Period less than a week away.
On Thursday, coach Napier visited the family and home of Emani Bailey, a standout high school running back from the state of Texas.
Bailey, from Ryan High School in Denton, Texas, issued a verbal pledge to Louisiana in late June.
The Advertiser's Tim Buckley alerted us to the in-home visit.
Verbal commitments are non-binding, so nothing is official until a player signs a National Letter of Intent.
The 5-foot-9, 200-pound Bailey is scheduled to graduate next spring.
Bailey was also reportedly offered by such schools as Tulsa, Northwestern St., Southwestern Oklahoma St. University, East Central University, and Angelo St.
