All summer long, we’re going to list the best players in New Orleans Saints history to wear every number, 00-99.

Yesterday, we did #63

Today, #64:

The pick: Zach Strief

When deciding who is the best New Orleans Saints player to ever wear #64, the choice is limited to linebacker Ray Hester, defensive linemen Robert Newkirk and Ted Elliott, and offensive linemen Andy Maurer, Dave Lafary, Scott Adams, Robert Newkirk, Zach Strief, and Kendyl Jacox.

Our selection is going to be Strief, an offensive lineman, who has played for the Saints for the last 10 years, from 2006-current.

After playing his college football at Northwestern, Strief was drafted by the Saints in the seventh round of the 2006 NFL Draft.

A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Strief served as a back-up in his first five years with the team, before becoming the starting right tackle in 2011 season.

The 6-foot-7, 345-pound Strief enters 2015 as the team's starting right tackle for the fifth-consecutive year.

Now entering his tenth year with the Saints, Strief has appeared in 125 games, including 61 as a starter.
