Earlier, we looked at the best player that the Saints ever drafted out of Tulsa.

Today, we spotlight the best player the Saints ever drafted from UCLA.

When it comes to deciding who the best player from UCLA ever drafted by the Saints is, the choice is limited to tight end Charles Arbuckle (1990), defensive back Othello Henderson (1993), defensive lineman Rodney Leisle (2004), and offensive lineman Criag Novitsky (1994).

Not a great group, but the pick is going to be Leisle, a defensive lineman, who played 4 years for the Saints, from 2004-2009.

The Saints selected Leisle in the 5th round of the 2004 NFL Draft.

A native of Fresno, California, Leisle played in two games in his rookie season, before appearing in only one game in 2005.

The 6-foot-3, 315-pound Leisle saw his most extensive playing time in 2006, appearing in 14 games, including one start, while contributing 8 tackles.

Leisle was on the rosters of the New York Giants (2008) and Arizona Cardinals (2009), while also spending time with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL over the next couple of years, before returning to the Saints and playing in one game in 2009.

In parts of 4 NFL seasons, all with the Saints, Leisle appeared in 18 games, including one as a starter, accumulating 10 tackles.
