Baseball America: LSU Will Host Baseball Regional

Sunday's win over Arkansas snapped a five game losing streak for LSU.  And, evidently, that's good enough for Baseball America.

The publication says LSU will be hosting an NCAA Regional at Alex Box Stadium.  They are one of five SEC teams projected to host.  The other four are all projected top eight seeds:  (1) Vanderbilt, (3) Arkansas, (4) Mississippi State and (6) Georgia.

LSU (32-21 after Tuesday's win over New Orleans) is tabbed as the #15 regional, meaning their margin for error is very small.  Baylor, Houston and Sam Houston State are the teams projected to be in Baton Rouge.

The five host sites for the SEC are the most of all the conferences.  The ACC is projected to have four, with #7 Louisville in the top eight.  The Pac 12 has three, including #2 UCLA.  The Big 12 has #8 Texas Tech as one of its two host spots and the publication likes two non-P5 schools, #6 East Carolina and #14 UC Santa Barbara as hosts.

One Sun Belt school, Texas State is projected to be in a regional.  The Bobcats join Florida State and Jacksonville State as projections for Starkville.

These are just projections and we won't know for certain who is hosting until Memorial Day.
