The Houston Astros continued their winning ways against the Los Angeles Dodgers of late but paid a price after taking two out of three games this weekend.

On Saturday they got a scare when starting pitcher Lance McCullers Jr. had to leave the game early after experiencing discomfort in his right forearm. Sunday, they lost George Springer as he injured his thumb attempting to steal second base, watch it here.

The x-rays came back negative on Springer's thumb but it was obvious he was in a lot of pain. Even if he doesn't land on the disabled list, you would have to think he's going to be out for at the very least a few games.

The injuries are really beginning to pile up for the Atros as Jose Altuve has been out since July 25 with a knee and Carols Correa out since June 25 with a back injury. They'll look to tread water and lean a little bit more on their pitching moving forward as the team travels to San Francisco tonight to open a series with the Giants.
