Astros Earn Three Starting Spots For All Star Game

The Houston Astros have the best record in baseball, and the fans have taken notice.

Three Astros have been selected as starters for the American League in the annual All-Star Game to be held July 11 in Miami.  2B Jose Altuve, SS Carlos Correa and OF George Springer were all voted in by the fans.

All told, five Houston players are on the team as LHP Dallas Keuchel and RHP Lance McCullers were also named to the squad.

The Astros tied with the Cleveland Indians and New York Yankees for the most players named with five each.

Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge was the leading vote getter in the American League.  He will be joined by teammates: C Gary Sanchez, 2B Starlin Castro and pitchers Dellin Betances and Luis Severino

Cleveland's Jose Ramirez won a close vote to get the start at 3B.  He's joined by teammates Francisco Lindor (SS) and Michael Brantley (OF), along with pitchers Corey Kluber and Andrew Miller.
