Anthony Davis could be the league MVP in the future, but for now his defense landed him on the NBA's All-Defensive Second Team.

One of the most intimidating shot blockers on the hard wood, "The Brow," joins Jimmy Butler, Andrew Bogut, John Wall and Tim Duncan on an impressive list on the second team. Davis was the top vote-getter of any second-teamer (47 1st team votes, 61 2nd team votes), but it still wasn't enough to crack his way into the highest level of defensive praise. Those honors went to Kawhi Leonard, Draymond Green, Tony Allen, Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan.

Davis averaged a staggering 2.9 blocks per game, while compiling 1.5 steals per game as well. He stayed out of foul trouble too. When you're as good of a defender as Davis, sometimes it's hard to improve. At the age of 22, the leaps and bounds he already made are enough to make you double-take.

The Pelicans' franchise player is now an All-Star, recognized as one of the best defenders in the game and one of the names thrown around to take the torch as the most dominant player in the sport. With this progress, could an MVP trophy be in the works at some point too?
