Andrew Bynum Agrees To Two-Year Deal With Cleveland Cavaliers
Andrew Bynum
Center Andrew Bynum agreed to a two-year, $24 million contact with the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday.
The contract is reported to have a number of incentive and performance stipulations, with only $6 million guaranteed, after the 25-year old Bynum missed the entire 2012-2013 NBA season, due to a knee injury.
The Los Angeles Lakers drafted the 7-foot Bynum with the 10th overall pick of the 2005 NBA Draft, where he helped the team to back-to-back NBA Championships in 2009 and 2010, and was named an All-Star in 2012, when he averaged 18.7 points, along with 11.8 rebounds-per-game.
In his six seasons with the Lakers, Bynum averaged 11.7 points, and 7.8 rebounds a contest.
Bynum picked the Cavaliers over the Dallas Mavericks and the Atlanta Hawks.
