For the second-consecutive week, the Alabama Crimson Tide are the top team in this week’s College Football Playoff rankings, the fifth set of rankings of the year, which were released on Tuesday night.

Not only does does Alabama stay at the top of this week's poll, but the top four, and even the top seven, remain unchanged from last week.

Alabama, who was number one for the first time last week, stays in the top spot after a 48-14 non-conference win over Western Carolina last Saturday, which moved them to 10-1 on the season.

The Oregon Ducks, who defeated Colorado last week, 44-10, remain at number two in the poll, with a 10-1 record.

The Florida St. Seminoles, the only remaining undefeated team from a power five conference, stay in the third spot, following a 20-17 win over Boston College last Saturday, to improve to 11-0.

Mississippi St., who shutout Vanderbilt, 51-0, last Saturday, to improve to 10-1 on the season, remains in the all-important fourth position..

At the end of the season, the top four teams in the College Football Playoff rankings will play in two semifinal games, with the winners advancing to the new College Football Championship Game.

This week, in games involving teams ranked in the top four, Alabama will host Auburn, Oregon travels to Oregon St., Florida St. hosts Florida, and Mississippi St. visits Ole Miss.

The TCU Horned Frogs, who is 10-1, and who was idle last week, is number five again this week.

Ohio St., Baylor, UCLA, Georgia, and Michigan St. round out the top ten.

Arizona, Kansas St., Arizona St., Wisconsin, and Auburn are ranked 11-15, respectively, followed by Georgia Tech, Missouri, Minnesota, Ole Miss, and Oklahoma in the 16-20 spots.

Finally, at 21-25, are Clemson, Louisville, Boise St., Marshall, and Utah.
