The Alabama Crimson has been tabbed as the softball team to beat in the SEC once again in 2020.

The SEC released its preseason coaches' poll on Wednesday and listed Alabama, the defending league champion, as the top team once again in the 2020 college softball season.

Alabama, who has won six SEC regular-season titles, returns 13 players from the 2019 championship squad, which includes Sarah Cornell, the 2019 SEC Pitcher of the Year, to go along with Montana Fouts, the 2019 SEC Freshman of the Year Montana, and All-SEC selections Bailey Hemphill, Elissa Brown, Maddie Morgan and Skylar Wallace.

The Crimson Tide received 11 of a possible 13 first-place votes by the league's coaches.

Tennessee, who was picked second, received the other two first-place votes.

LSU, who went 43-19 last season, and qualified for an NCAA Super Regional, was picked third.
