Alabama Opens As 2017 Title Favorite, LSU Seventh

The Alabama Crimson Tide is the betting favorite to win the 2017 college football national championship.

Bovada.lv has listed Alabama as the 4/1 betting favorite.

The Crimson Tide who fell to Clemson, 35-31, in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game on Monday night, has won four of the last eight national titles.

Florida St. is the second pick, at 7/1, with Ohio St. the third pick, at 15/2, followed by Michigan, Oklahoma, and USC, all at 9/1.

The LSU Tigers are the seventh pick, opening at 12/1.

Clemson, the 2016 national champs, opens with 16/1 odds to repeat, while Louisville, who returns Lamar Jackson, the 2016 Heisman Trophy winner, also opens up at 16/1.

Rounding out the top ten is the Texas Longhorns, at 28/1.

A group consisting of Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Miami (Florida), Oklahoma St., Penn St., and Virginia Tech are all 33/1, while Notre Dame and Washington are both 40/1.
