Arizona Cardinals running back Adrian Peterson made national headlines for being traded yesterday, and made headlines in Minnesota for being sued.

On the same day the New Orleans Saints sent the former NFL MVP to Arizona in exchange for a conditional draft pick, Minneapolis based Crown Bank sued Peterson for defaulting on a loan, according to a report from Brandon Stahl of the Star-Tribune.

Peterson took out a 2.4 million loan in May of 2016, but defaulted 5 months later. He then agreed on a forbearance with the bank to pay the loan off by December of 2016, but still hasn't paid off the loan in full.

He currently still owes $602,726 to Crown Bank.
