(Acadiana at Barbe, Pregame at 6:02 on ESPN1420, espn1420.com & RadioPup, Kickoff at 7:00)

Acadiana's Wreckin Rams (2-2) went Trick and Treating a month early last Friday when they faced their old rival, the Lafayette High Mighty Lions.

Lafayette High held a 12-7 lead deep into the fourth quarter when the Wreckin' Rams reached into their trick bag and pulled out a beautiful hook and lateral.  It was the right call at the right time, executed to perfection by the Rams offense.

Defensively, Acadiana held the Lions to field goals twice deep in Rams territory, while the offense executed the hook and lateral perfectly when it had to.

After a two game losing streak, the Rams are hoping this win gets them rolling as district play continues at Barbe (2-2).

Speaking of Halloween, Barbe has been a House of Horrors for the Rams. However, Acadiana registered one of their best wins in school history last year when they defeated Barbe 27-17 in Lake Charles in the State Quarterfinals a season ago.

As is the norm, Barbe is extremely talented. However, they've lost a number of key players to graduation from a season ago, lacking experience in a few areas.

The Bucs have a capable quarterback to go with solid skill players. Barbe's loss last week to Carencro can be misleading regarding the Buccaneer talent. Barbe had 454 yards of offense compared to Carencro's 207. Carencro, to their credit, used two interception returns for touchdowns to secure the win. As is often the case, turnovers were the key.

Tonight, pregame starts at 6:02 p.m. with James P. Bitterman. Kickoff follows at 7:00. Catch all the action on ESPN1420, espn1420.com and on the free smart phone app RadioPup.

Next week the Wreckin' Rams will be home versus the Comeaux Spartans.
