Acadiana High School standout running back may have already committed to play his future college football at a historic program, but that not stopping the Lamar Cardinals from trying to get him to change his mind.

Lamar recently offered Monette a scholarship to play football at their school.

The 5-foot-5, 140-pound Monette, who committed to Army back in May, rushed for 1,488 yards and 27 touchdowns in the regular season and is getting ready to surpass Alley Broussard's school record of 5,012 career rushing yards.

Monette, along with Lucky Brooks and Tyvin Zeno, have led a vaunted rushing attack, helping the Wreckin' Rams to an unbeaten 11-0 season.
