Who knows exactly what the Acadiana Wreckin' Rams (2-2, 1-0) coaches said at halftime versus the Barbe Buccaneers, but hopefully they remember exactly heading into the future. Acadiana dominated the second half last Friday, rallying from  a 21-27 deficit, winning a thriller 41-35.

How dominate were the Wreckin' Rams in the second half?  They ran 35 plays for 247 yards, 3 touchdowns and controlled the clock for 18 minutes, while the defense held Barbe to a 3 and out, gave up a touchdown on a 2 play 46 yard drive, then forced a punt on a 6 play 19 yard drive.

Acadiana's last drive of the game is one for the history books, as the Wreckin' Rams took over on their own 15 yard line with 10:17 to go and scored on play number 20. A ten yard touchdown pass from Myles Hutchinson to Braylen Trahan capped it off.  The only person in the end zone with Braylen was the invisible man as Barbe sold out on the play fake, and the invisible man was not getting the ball from Braylen.

Jayrin Wilson had a game for the record books as he accumulated 259 yards rushing; the 9th most in Wreckin' Ram history, and the 40th time a running back has gone over 200 yards in school history.  Jayrin had touchdown runs of 5 and 80 yards against the Bucs.

This week, the Wreckin Rams' host the Sulphur Golden Tornadoes (3-1, 1-0) on Friday evening in a battle of two of the three teams with 1-0 records in district 3-5A.  The New Iberia Yellow Jackets are the other.

Acadiana must be up to the challenge as Sulphur is led by runnin back J'cobi Skinner. Skinner is talented back who had a career high 192 yards on 25 carries and 2 touchdowns versus Comeaux.

Acadiana's kick off coverage team will have to play especially well as sophomore Glenn Willis has had back to back games with a 95 yard kick off return for a touchdown.

Pregame on Friday starts at 6:02 p.m. with kickoff at 7:00 p.m. The game can be heard in the Acadiana area over the air on ESPN1420, on the internet at espn1420.com, and on smart phone app RadioPup.

Next week the Wreckin' Rams travel to the Lafayette High Mighty Lions!
