Green Bay Packers quarterback and former league MVP Aaron Rodgers has suffered a setback on his injured left knee.

Rodgers, who injured the knee in a week 1 win over the Chicago Bears, has played through the injury this season while also rehabbing it.

In a Sunday loss to the Lions, he took a hit from Christian Jones on the opening drive of the game and suffered a "setback", reports ESPN's Rob Demovsky.

Rodgers missed practice Thursday, but was a full participant on Friday.

Barring another setback, he should play under center on Monday night when Green Bay hosts San Francisco.

He may be forced to wear a larger brace on his knee than he did in Detroit on Sunday.
