Tom Benson can hold Bountygate against him.  Robert Kraft can be furious about Deflategate.  Jerry Jones is reportedly seething about the decision to suspend Ezekiel Elliott. But that isn't going to stop the owners from extending NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell's contract for another five years.

A Sports Business Journal report, confirmed by ESPN, says the two sides are in negotiations to extend Goodell's contract through 2024.  The terms would be similar to his current deal, set to expire in 2019.

Goodell has made $212 million dollars since becoming Commissioner including $32 million in fiscal year 2015.

Fans may hate him, and owners may get mad at him, but the reality is, NFL owners are making tons of money under Goodell's leadership.

That'll keep you employed every time.
