The Sun Belt Conference announced its All-Conference teams last night and the list is littered with Ragin' Cajuns. In addition to putting 7 players on the first team and 1 on the second team, UL took home the league’s top 3 honors.

Christi Orgeron (pictured left) was named the SBC player of the year for the second consecutive time, while Ashley Brignac picked up her second straight Sun Belt Pitcher of the Year honor, and third of her career. Cajun pitcher Jordan Wallace earned SBC freshmen of the year honors, after registering 23 consecutive victories in the circle to set the best start by a freshman pitcher in NCAA history.

Joining all 3 players on the first-team is senior outfielder Katie Smith, junior first baseman Matte Haack, junior shortstop Nerissa Myers, and sophomore third baseman Natalie Fernandez. Catcher Sarah Draheim was named second-team all SBC as an at large selection.

In addition to all the player accolades, Louisiana's co-head coaches Stefni and Michael Lotief received the league’s Coach of the Year award. The pair guided the Cajuns to their 11th Sun Belt Conference Regular Season Championship and a No. 6 national ranking.
