The Louisiana Ragin' Cajun Baseball season is right around the corner and we got a chance to visit with some of the players from this years team.

Today we've got pitcher, Brock Batty.

Brock Batty is a freshman from Denham Springs, LA. This newcomer was a standout at Denham Springs High School where he was a three-year letterwinner and helped the Yellow Jackets baseball squad to two runs to the state quarterfinals. In addition, he was a Perfect Game Baseball Honorable Mention All-American in the years 2015 and 2016. Batty achieved 5A All-State honors in the years 2016 and 2017 and he was named an all-district and all-parish selection from the years 2015-17.

The youngster gives us his outlook on the 2018 season, transitioning to college ball, why he chose UL, what pitches he throws and which he needed to work on coming into this year, and we played a little word association with him towards the end.

Our final conversation will come tomorrow leading up to the 2018 season as we hear from OF Todd Lott.
