The New York Yankees struggled to score runs against Baltimore in the American League Division Series

They're hitting just .192 against Detroit pitching through two games in the American League Championship Series.

They've lost their captain to a broken ankle.

They've got four regulars hitting under .200 in the postseason.

They're down 0-2 to the Tigers, losing both games in Yankee Stadium.

Now they get to face Justin Verlander...in Detroit, hoping not to go 0-3.

The Detroit ace could wind up winning his second straight Cy Young award next month.  He is 1-0 in the postseason against the Yankees in his career.

Phil Hughes is scheduled to pitch for the Yankees.
