Wyoming Suspends, Fines Head Coach
The University of Wyoming has levied a one game suspension on head coach Dave Christensen and fined him $50,000 for his profanity-laced tirade following the October 13 game against Air Force.
The Mountain West Conference had previously reprimanded Christensen for the incident.
Christensen accused Air Force of faking an injury so they could set up a play without using a time out. Air Force took the lead on the next play and won the game 28-27.
After the game, Christensen confronted Falcons’ coach Troy Calhoun on the field and used one F-bomb after the other in telling Calhoun how he felt.
Christensen has since apologized.
