It is possible that a former Louisiana Ragin' Cajun football star will begin his professional career with the New Orleans Saints?

At least one writer thinks that it is.

NFL/Saints writer Larry Holder, of NOLA.com, predicts in his final mock draft that the team is going to select former UL defensive back Tracy Walker.

Holder has the Saints taking Walker in the 5th round.

A native of Brunswick, Georgia, Walker compiled 97 tackles and two interceptions in 2017, and finished his stellar career at UL with 276 tackles and 8 interceptions over 50 games.

Walker became the second Louisiana player in as many years to play in the East-West Shrine Game recently, with former Cajun, and current New York Jets running back Elijah McGwire playing in the game the year before.

Walker is projected to be selected in the 5th or 6th round, so it is indeed a possibility.

If the Saints do select Walker, a lot of fans of both the Cajuns and Saints will be awfully happy!
