Wright Named to National Defensive All-American Team

Ragin' Cajun senior point guard Jay Wright today was one of 25 players named to the Lefty Driesell Defensive All-American team.

Wright, who was named Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Year, was the only player from the Sun Belt named to the team.

Wright was also named a second-team all-Sun Belt Performer after averaging 16.2 points, 2.5 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game.  He also led the conference in steals.

The Defensive Player of the Year award went to Javon Carter of West Virginia
