The date was May 27, 2014. The venue was Citi Field in Flushing, New York as the New York Mets were setting up to play host to the Pittsburgh Pirates.

As the routine goes for a baseball game, there's a first-pitch that is thrown out by a celebrity, season ticket holder, military personnel, etc. On this day it was a celebrity, rapper/actor Curtis Jackson aka 50 Cent.

What followed on the Citi Field mound was one of the most embarrassing displays by a grown man throwing a baseball. If you've forgotten, here's a little reminder of what it looked like:

Oh boy, as a former college baseball player that is hard to watch, poor 50....

However, it seems as though he may have an opportunity to redeem himself.

50 Cent opened up in an interview with Newsday on January 9th that he'd love the opportunity to go out and redeem himself for that awful display of baseball athleticism.

It also seems like the New York Mets would be willing to give him that opportunity to redo his first-pitch, perhaps in this coming 2018 season?

Would certainly make for one of the more intriguing first-pitches thrown in baseball history.
