Preslie Cruce blasted a three run homer with two out in the seventh inning, to lift Western Kentucky to a dramatic 5-3 win in an elimination game in the Sun Belt Conference Softball Tournament in Boca Raton, FL.

Amanda Thomas singled with one out in the seventh and then with two outs, Olivia Watkins also singled.  Cruce then hit a 1-0 pitch over the wall off losing pitcher Hayley Wilson to keep the Lady Toppers' (33-24-1) season alive.

ULM finished their season at 25-26.

It looked as though the seventh seeded Warhawks would find a way to advance after scoring three times in the second inning to erase a 2-0 deficit as the Lady Toppers failed to mount a threat in the middle innings.

Thomas had two hits, including a second inning homer, to lead WKU's seven hit attack.  Roxy Cassel had two hits to pace ULM.

WKU now faces #2 seed South Alabama and will need to beat the Jaguars twice in order to advance to Saturday's championship game.
