The Ragin' Cajuns' game in the Houston Regional was pushed back to a 3:00 pm start on Sunday due to weather, but the show will go on against the Cougars.

An outbreak of lightning and heavy rain ruined the festivities for Saturday night, and the skies opened up in the middle of a game. Houston Baptist and Rice will resume their game, which was in the fourth inning, Sunday morning at 11:00 am. The Cajuns and Houston will then face off at 3:00, barring any other interventions from the clouds. The turf field in Houston is new, but the skies need to give it a break for people to play on it.

Whenever the Cajuns face off with the Cougars, the result could lead to two different outcomes. A loss would lead to a double-header on Sunday, where Tony Robichaux's squad would face the winner of Houston Baptist and Rice earlier in the day. A victory would mean a night's rest and a game on Monday at 1:00 pm for a bit of hardware. The if-necessary game is scheduled for 6:00 pm later that night, for any fans of drama out there.

The university affirmed that M.L. Tigue Moore Field will be open for every Cajun game from the Houston Regional, rain or shine.

If there is any team in America built for adversity and surprises, it's the Ragin' Cajuns. Their season's road was bumpy, what's another pothole to circumvent?
