With a week to prepare, Mark Hudspeth's Ragin' Cajuns are itching to take on Appalachian State at home in Lafayette. Coach Hud was so jacked up, he had to hold a second press conference.

Ten days of rest does the body a ton of good, especially when you're as banged up as the Ragin' Cajuns. Running backs Elijah McGuire and Raymond Calais were in pain against Texas State, and it held them out of the action. Luckily, Coach Hud said they're both recovering nicely and will be ready to play against the Mountaineers. Every ailing player took the break to get better, aside from the obvious ones who required surgery (Gary Haynes, Jalen Nixon, LaDarius Kidd).

Coach Hud didn't just discuss the health of his players. He previewed a dangerous Appalachian State team, who handed them a big time loss two seasons ago. The effect of that loss lingered, which only adds to the reasons why the Ragin' Cajuns want revenge.

Take a minute to let Coach Hud fill you in on the status of his team, how they're preparing for the Mountaineers and the benefit of adding a game against Arizona State to their 2021 schedule.
